Meet Our Team: Elvira and Weranika

Our Art for Kids family is growing! 🎨 Two artists are joining our team, with very different but equally fascinating paths into art: an art historian with over 20 years of experience, and an architect who has been teaching drawing for years. Let's get to know them.

Elvira Koroleva — art historian, curator and art teacher

Elvira holds a Master's degree in Art History and has more than 20 years of professional experience as an art historian, curator, educator and cultural project manager. She teaches in English and works with children of all ages — from preschool to teenagers — as well as with adults.

Over her career she has worked with children from many different backgrounds, including migrant and refugee families, children with disabilities, autistic children and children affected by war. Her approach is inclusive and supportive: every child should feel safe, respected and inspired to create.

She teaches: drawing, painting, sculpture, Ebru (water marbling), collage, mixed media, art history, museum education and portfolio preparation.

Beyond teaching, Elvira has organised exhibitions, educational programmes and international cultural projects — experience she's happy to bring to our studio too.

Weranika Paniznik — drawing teacher and architect

Weranika has a Master's degree in Architecture and has worked as an art educator for more than 5 years. She specialises in drawing, sketching, printmaking and watercolour.

She created "Morning Sketch", a community drawing project she has run since 2016: regular meetings where drawing becomes a way of discovering the world. She has designed art programmes and taught drawing in private art studios, and recently completed a large wall mural. She also studied drama and intercultural communication at the University of Stavanger.

She teaches: drawing, sketching, watercolour and printmaking — and, thanks to her architecture training, how to look at buildings and space.
