Why I Started Art for Kids — My Story

Hi, I'm Olena — the person behind Art for Kids. I'm a creative soul who loves the English language and cherishes art and everything that comes with it.

My background sits in two worlds I love equally: I'm a certified English and art educator, with 8+ years of teaching English (including Cambridge exam prep) and formal training in fine art and design. For years those two ran side by side — language in one hand, a paintbrush in the other.

Then one idea stuck and wouldn't leave me: help children speak English fluently by doing creative things and learning about art. Not English or art — both, woven together, so kids forget they're "learning" and simply use the language while making something they're proud of.

Setting up before a garden workshop — every table ready before the first child arrives.

It took about a year to turn that idea into a real brand — shaping the workshops, the name and the look, and building collaborations with schools and educational centres that became the backbone of everything we do.

And the real challenge? It isn't preparing the workshops, or even building those collaborations — it's keeping children genuinely curious and engaged all year long. That's the part I care about most, and it's what shapes every single class we design.
