The City After the Hail — A Birthday Teamwork Project
Art for Kids · Sun 21 June

What a great party we hosted this Sunday! 🎨🎂 Instead of the usual party games, the birthday child and their friends rolled up their sleeves and became architects, builders and painters for the afternoon — and together they created something truly special: "The City After the Hail."
One big team, one little city
Working as a team, the children turned cardboard tubes, paper and a sea of bright colours into a whole miniature town. Little houses with red and blue roofs, a tall castle tower, leafy trees, fluffy clouds and a winding river running right through the middle — every single piece was made by hand.
The best part? Every child added their own building to the city. One painted a sunny yellow house, another gave their home a little red heart in the window, someone built the bridge over the river. By the end, all those small pieces came together into one shared masterpiece — a real lesson in teamwork, patience and imagination.
Why we love projects like this
- 🤝 Teamwork in action — children learn to share ideas, help each other and build something bigger than themselves.
- 🏠 Real making, real pride — no screens, no plastic toys, just cardboard, paint and creativity.
- 🌍 English along the way — the whole session runs in English using the CLIL method, so kids pick up the language naturally while they create.
- ✨ A keepsake to remember — a one-of-a-kind city the birthday child will never forget.
