Themed Art Classes for Your School — You Give Us the Topic, We Build the Workshop

Every teacher knows the feeling: the class is deep into a topic — volcanoes, the water cycle, Ancient Egypt, a country in geography, a book you've just finished reading together — and you'd love to end it with something the children actually remember. Something they can hold in their hands and take home.

That's exactly what we do. You give us the theme. We build the workshop around it.

How it works — tailored to your topic, not ours

We don't have a fixed menu of activities that we squeeze every class into. It works the other way around.

You tell us what your students are learning, and we design the session from there: we choose an art technique appropriate for that age group, we take into account what those particular children are interested in, and we shape the whole project around the topic you're already teaching.

The result is a workshop that isn't a break from the curriculum — it's part of it. The children spend an hour making something, and along the way the topic settles in properly.

The process, step by step

It's deliberately simple, because we know how much teachers already have on their plate.

1. You reach out. Tell us the name of the project or topic you're working on with your children — whatever is in the school programme right now.

2. You give us a few details:

• the age group
• how many children are in the group
• the date and time you have in mind
• whether you'd like to visit us at the studio, or invite us to your school — both work equally well

3. We send you an offer. A list of what we can do for that theme, how long it takes, the materials we'll use, and what the children will walk away with at the end.

4. That's it — your creative spot is saved.

No long planning meetings, no materials to buy, no lesson to prepare. You choose the option you like best and we take care of the rest.

What we can make — it depends on the group size

Small groups, up to 15 children. With a group this size we can include ceramics — real air-dry clay, properly worked, and a finished piece for every child to keep, no kiln needed. It's the technique children remember for years, and it needs the kind of hands-on attention that only works in a smaller group.

Larger groups. For bigger classes we work with canvas, cardboard and the full range of art materials — including some genuinely unusual ones that children have often never touched before. Plenty of techniques, plenty of texture, and a project that still holds together with twenty-five pairs of hands in the room.

Either way, every child finishes with their own piece.

An example: geography and our "Around the World" programme

For geography we have our own author programme — Around the World.

The class picks a country, and we build a project around it: its famous artists and the way they painted, the places that country is known for, and the people who made it what it is. The children don't just hear about a country — they spend an hour working in the style of one of its artists, or building one of its landmarks.

It works beautifully alongside a geography unit, and it's just as good for an international day, a school project week, or a class that's simply curious about the world.
