What Christmas Workshops Have We Prepared for Schools and Preschools in 2026?
Art for Kids · Mon 2 November

Every December teachers ask us the same thing: what can we make with the children before Christmas that they'll actually want to take home? So this year we've prepared six winter projects for school classes and preschool groups. We can run them at our studio in Wilanów or come to you with all the materials.
Every project lasts 2 hours of making, and every child goes home with their own finished piece, often a little present for under the tree.
1. Winter animal house

An example of the project.
A multi-storey house built from cardboard, with ladders, a bench, little windows and cotton-wool snow, where forest animals spend the winter. Children plan the floors, cut, glue and decorate. It's a great project for practising patience and fine motor skills, and the youngest children love furnishing the rooms.
2. Snow Queen's ice castle

An example of the project.
A fairy-tale winter scene on a cardboard base: a castle, a frozen lake, cone-shaped trees and snowflakes with sparkling crystals. Children work with shades of blue and violet, glitter and texture. It works especially well with groups that love stories and princesses, and with anyone who's ever wanted their own winter kingdom.
3. Building winter houses

An example of the project.
Each child builds and paints their own cardboard house with cut-out windows. Put together, the houses become one shared, lit-up winter village, which looks beautiful in the classroom or the school corridor for the whole of December.
4. Hand-painted baubles

An example of the project.
Children paint their own baubles with folk and winter patterns: Christmas trees, twigs, flowers, berries and dots. We show simple brush techniques, so even the youngest children end up with a bauble they're proud of.
5. Christmas flower wreaths

An example of the project.
A wreath made from dried flowers, twigs and orange slices, ready to hang on the door. It's the most "grown-up" of our projects and a favourite with older pupils, and with the parents who receive it.
6. Air-dry clay tree decorations

An example of the project.
Children roll out the clay, cut out shapes, press in patterns from leaves and stamps, and decorate their own tree ornaments: stars, hearts, houses and bells. It's a calm, focused project that works beautifully with preschool groups.

Questions teachers ask
How many children can take part?
Up to 27 children at our studio. At your school we usually work with one class or preschool group at a time; with a bigger group, we'll suggest two shorter turns.
What do we need to prepare?
Nothing apart from a room with tables. We bring all the materials and tools, and we tidy up afterwards.
Can we choose a different project for each class?
Yes. If several classes are coming, each can pick its own project.
Can the workshop be in English?
Yes. We run all our workshops in Polish or English, so it's a nice way to bring English into a December lesson.
How do we book?
Just send us the project you like, the number of children and a few dates that suit you. We'll confirm the details and take care of the rest.
