After-School Activities for Kids — A Tailor-Made Art Programme for International Schools and Preschools

This fox was made during one of our after-school art sessions. A cardboard silhouette, layers of tissue paper for texture, a lot of orange paint — and a collar of beads the children modelled themselves and threaded onto wire. A few sessions of work, and one very proud artist.

This is exactly what we want after-school activities to feel like: a real project a child finishes, holds up and wants to take home — not another worksheet at the end of a long school day.

After-school activities that are different every week

Many after-school clubs repeat the same format all year. We work the other way round. For every school and preschool we build an individual programme — for a semester or the whole school year — so that each session brings a new technique, a new material and a new theme.

Children don't know what's coming next week. That is half the fun, and it keeps them coming back.

A programme built around your school

Before we start, we ask a few simple questions:

  • the age of the children and the size of the groups
  • how often you would like the sessions — once a week, twice a week, or as a series
  • what your pupils are learning right now — a topic, a book, a country, a season
  • what space you have — a classroom, an art room, a common room

From that we put together a plan that fits your timetable and your children, not a ready-made package.

A wide variety of workshops

Over a semester, children try many different ways of making art:

  • painting — watercolour, tempera, acrylic, working large and small
  • 3D work and sculpture — cardboard, papier-mâché and tissue paper, like the fox above
  • modelling — clay and foam clay, from tiny details to whole figures
  • collage and mixed media — paper, fabric, found materials
  • illustration and artist's books — telling stories through pictures
  • design projects — building rooms, houses and castles in miniature
  • great artists — painting Monet's water lilies, Picasso's faces, Gaudí's lizards
  • themed workshops — built around what your class is studying (see how themed workshops work)

For international schools and preschools

All our sessions are taught entirely in English. In international schools, where children come from many countries and English is the language they share, art becomes one more natural place to use it — talking about colours, materials, ideas and each other's work.

In preschools, English grows through doing: children hear it, repeat it and start using it while their hands are busy. For the youngest groups we keep sessions shorter and groups smaller, so every child gets attention.

We come to you — with everything we need

The simplest option for schools: we come to your school or preschool, bring all the art materials, set up, run the session and leave the room tidy. No shopping lists or extra work for teachers.

Or come to us: themed workshops at our studio

We also host themed workshops at our studio in Wilanów (Priv, ul. Branickiego 21A/U2). The space fits up to 27 children, so a whole class can come together — for a trip, to close a topic, or to celebrate the end of a term. Everyone works in the same room, and everyone leaves with their own piece.

How to get started

  1. Write or call us — tell us about your school or preschool and your groups.
  2. We agree the details — ages, group sizes, days, and whether we come to you or you come to us.
  3. We send a proposed programme — a list of workshops for the semester, which we can adjust together.
  4. We start — and children start taking their work home.
